Castle Senior Living currently offers all state required Community Based Residential Facility (CBRF) certificates in compliance with the recent training updates. Castle Senior Living CBRF Training in Milwaukee includes CBRF certifications in: Standard Precautions, Medication Administration, Fire Safety, and First Aid & Choking.

We open our classes to anyone in the community that is interested in CBRF Training in Milwaukee, Greenfield, Hales Corners, West Allis, Oak Creek, New Berlin and surrounding areas to become certified. In addition, those individuals that are employees of Castle Senior Living qualify for 100% reimbursement of training costs after continued employment. Course Information

First Aid & Choking

After taking the CBRF First Aid and Choking course, you will know your role as an assisted living employee in an emergency. You will be able to provide basic first aid in emergencies until help arrives. You will understand how to and be able to alleviate choking. You will be able to identify different types of emergencies and what is the correct way to respond. Lastly, you will learn basic prevention methods to avoid emergency situations.

  • Price: $90.00
    • This includes the $20.00 application fee required by the state of WI.

Medication Administration

This training course covers a wide range of topics, all designed to provide the information and skills necessary to properly administer medications to those in your care. Some examples of these topics include; Resident Rights, Facility Policies and Procedures, Delegated Procedures, Medication Management, Medical Terms and Abbreviations, Medication Packaging, Labeling, and Storage, Types of Medications, and Medication Administration.

Course Information

Standard Precautions

After taking the CBRF Standard Precautions course, you will understand how infectious agents are spread from person to person and the chain of infection. You will understand how the use of standard precautions prevent the transmission of infectious agents. Lastly, you will know how to use standard precautions to break the chain of infection in a CBRF.

Fire Safety

This training course covers a wide range of topics, all designed to provide the information and skills necessary to protect your residents and yourself in the event of a fire. Some of the main learning points are Understanding the nature of fire, recognizing fire hazards, learning about early warning systems, Understand the use of a fire extinguisher, Focus on the evacuation needs of residents, Follow the CBRF emergency and disaster plan, and respond well in an emergency.
